1.1 Experience - Developed overall strategies, built and led a team to build a start-up business and achieved business goals

Built AppleTree Creative Arts Centre

  • Developed overall strategies and built a creative business, AppeTree (an English creative art centre for children age 3 to 18) from scratch. Through this personal project, I gained the skills to develop a profitable mission, vision, and strategic direction for the business with realistic commercial objectives. Within 1 year, the business broke even. In year 2, I achieved exponential growth and have been comfortably self-sufficient for 13 years.
  • I am experienced in leading, inspiring and working with a team to deliver successful campaigns for AppleTree regularly within tight timeline. I have recruited, trained and inspired fresh graduates (from UK, Ireland, overseas students returning HK, HK graduates, with design background) to become amazing valuable team members who have learnt to use their creative thinking skills to support the business visions.
  • Planned and formed strategies to push the business forward. Oversaw the overall operation of the business, including marketing campaigns and execution of events, programs, workshops and initiatives. Managed the budget and resource allocation. Successfully acquired and served many happy and loyal clients. Many have been clients for more than 12 years.
  • Managed all stakeholder engagement. Experience in building a brand and building loyal and trusting relationship with parents and students. Created excellent customer journey with courses, services, communication, exhibitions and events. Created great experiences and sweet memories for the clients.
  • With market research, defined the value proposition and developed a signature course (USP) that proved to attract customers. It solves the customer's problems by creating a course that build up 4 skills at the same time, so they can save time and learn.

1.2 Experience - Networking / collaborating with entrepreneurs and experts

  • Vision: broaden my contacts, learn new things, try new things and networking with experts and entrepreneurs.
  • Designed and hosted 2 virtual summits - 1 summit with guest speakers from worldwide and 1 summit with guest speakers in HK. Networked and collaborated with 32 experts, including Grammy Award Winner Paul Phoenix and 2-time Olympian Fencing Master Lau Kwok Kin, and many other great entrepreneurs and experts.
  • Led and worked with the team to build the summit funnel and membership site with Clickkfunnels and create all the marketing materials. Delivered the edited interviews, funnels and promotional materials to all the speakers in a time-sensitive and professional manner.

1.3 Experience - Involved in large-scale and time-critical architecture projects

  • Responsible for coordinating, managing, leading and working with my team to timely completion of architecture project deliverables from the design stage to completion.
  • Worked closely with client's Marketing Team to promote various luxurious housing projects to investors and high net worth home-buyers. As well as worked closely with Developers, Schools, Housing Department and other Clients and ensured the project design processes were seamless.
  • Daily works involved designing, building, coordinating and implementing a number of building projects simultaneously. Coordinated and worked closely with external consultant team : geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, landscape architects, building surveyors and building contractors. Also worked closely internally with the team to make sure all the works were carried out. Weekly site visit during the whole construction period and monitored the whole construction process.
  • Building projects included a number of luxurious housing developments, such as no. 12-16 Tai Tam Road, Stanley (from design stage to the approval of the occupation permit), and other detached houses in Chung Hom Kok, residential building in Ho Man Tin, Government Primary School Extension and Alteration (packages of more than 20 schools), Government Housing Estate Offices Alteration (packages of more than 20 estates) and Heritage and Revitalisation of Temples (package of more than 10 temples)
  • Developed attention to details and multi-tasking skills by preparing high quality and visually pleasing drawings for design, tender, government submission & construction documentation drawings.
  • Experiences in different architectural stages: understanding the design brief and checking the lease; Design; Coordinate with the internal team and the external consultant design team, Produce drawings and documents for Government approval; Tendering ; Liaise with the Building Department for approval; Appoint the Contractors; Overseeing and monitoring the construction process; Excavation; Ramp construction; Foundation, Construction of the buildings, Wall finishes, Apply for Occupation Permit and other necessary certificates.
